My name is Kaycee Wiedman, I am 20 years old and I am a junior at Texas State University. I am majoring in Mass Communications with a focus in Public Relations and I am minoring in Business Administration. I am still deciding if I want to continue my education and earn my Masters in Mass Communications, but I can hold off on that decision for another semester I hope. I was born in Chandler, Arizona and moved to Texas my sophomore year of high school and I have fallen in love with the great state of Texas and call it my home. I am the social chairwoman for my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, meaning I plan the events like parent’s day and formal and date party. I was elected by my chapter to be the Financial Vice President for the spring semester, and I am so excited to see what that position entails.
My dream job is to work for the public relations and event coordination team for the Dallas Cowboys or the Dallas Mavericks. I fell in love with Dallas once Jake and I started dating, and he introduced me to the Dallas teams. I am excited to move to Dallas after graduation because there will be many opportunities for me and to grow my brand and I think my past experience with my sorority will help me get a head start with my career. I think working with either of those teams will be a great challenge for me because there will always be press opportunities for me to work with and I would be doing something that I absolutely love.
I hope to continue to brand myself and to keep creating content that helps me stand out in this competitive world. Running this food blog has been a great journey for me to help me brand myself, keep up with deadlines and to go out and try new things. This project is not over at the end of the semester because it sparked my fire and helped me realize some of the things that I am truly passionate about. I look forward to looking for internships this summer and to continue to grow my brand.
